Madras Weekend Trip - Fun and Joy of Togetherness

Tired of taking your dear ones to the bustling malls and movies hall? Well, this week, take him/her to these beautiful places and enjoy quality time together with dear ones, you love so much.
Take a Walk
Walk is very important as it gives an opportunity to notice little details about your city and locality? When was the last time you do so, took a walk and spoke to each other? Theosophical Society is the place, which is frequently visited, but it is the Semmozhi Poonga a place where the harmonious amalgamation of greenery and the chaos of the roads in Chennai co-exist. Colleges in the city are the best place to take a stroll and campuses of IIT, Anna University and Madras Christian College are some of the examples. While at the IIT campus, if you are lucky enough, you can even spot deer or two as well. But this is not a wildlife park do keep in mind that you are in educational institutions.

A Visit to the Peaceful Jammu

Many say that Jammu is not a place to visit, because they believe it is not safe to admire the beauty of its snow covered peaks and amazing lakes, all the time fearing an attack by the terrorist.
I too was among them, until I experienced the peacefulness of the place by myself. The moment I got off the train at Jammu Tawi station, I got surprised to find the place filled with gun-carrying soldiers. However they were not present there to frighten the visitors, but to help them in finding their way in the city.
My first visit after the hotel was the Bahu fort. It was built by Raja Bahulochan almost three centuries ago, the fort stands towering on a single rock, looking over the Tawi River.
